The Canola Council of Canada is funded from four major sources:
The voluntary industry levy provides the Council with its core funding, and allows the Council to develop programs that benefit the industry and attract other funding. The Council’s average yearly budget is $5 million per annum. Funding sources and allocation of expenditures are outlined in the following pie charts:
The Canola Council funding is applied to administration, utilization, crop production, and communication services activities.
