The 2002 Canola Production Centre Summary Report is
a 20-page, 8 1/2"X11" booklet summarizing the demonstrations
and trials conducted at the Canola Production Centre sites on the Prairies,
in the Peace River region of Canada and in Thief River Falls, MN, USA during
2002. It features results on trials conducted on seed priming, variety and
systems comparisons, pre-seeding burn-off timing, seed treatment, seed size,
canopy manipulation, cabbage seedpod weevil, time of swathing and more.

Canola Disease Identification and Sclerotinia Risk Assessment Card,
when used in conjunction with the stem rot checklist and petal testing, will improve
the accuracy of risk assessments thorugh better identification of spore producing
structures and late season infections. Better risk assessement will help ensure that
fungicides are applied only when the likelihood of a positive economic return is high.

that follows the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies of nine farmers
throughout a season. Each farmer discusses the thinking behind each strategy,
when during the seasons each is implemented, and their thoughts on where
improvements can be made in using IPM. The book also contains tips or notes

Canola Meal Feed Industry Guide (3rd Edition, 2001) is a
40-page, full-colour technical guide for feeding canola meal to dairy and
beef cattle, poultry, and swine. The feeding information for all species
is now combined in one publication. Information provided includes: processing
of canola seed for quality meal; composition of canola meal; data on feeding
canola meal; and canola meal specifications. There is also information on
canola meal in specialty diets (aquaculture, horses, sheep and other animals),
and the economics of feeding canola meal.

Canola Oil Technical Information Kit consists of a
folder with four separate 8-1/2" X 11" booklets: nutritional
properties, performance properties, physical and chemical properties,
and canola seed and oil processing. Each booklet can be ordered separately.
Nutritional properties describes the importance of dietary fat, recommended
levels of fat in the diet, fatty acid composition of canola oil, and many
other interesting facts. Performance properties details flavour stability,
frying and baking with canola oil products, odour, storage stability of
fried foods, and more. Chemical and physical properties deals with relative
density, viscosity, smoke and flash point, minor components and more. The
